Good morning friends! I hope you are having a great week. We kicked off December with decorating a gingerbread house and an evening walk to look at all the holiday lights. So far, we’ve spotted a baby yoda holding a candy cane, Christmas dragons, and a snoopy-themed house! Before I dive into some planned holiday content, I wanted to recap our September trip to Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. It was the perfect escape from the hot summer temps in Tucson. I loved being amongst the pine trees and lakes. It reminded me of being back in the Pacific Northwest.Continue reading “Pinetop-Lakeside Weekend Recap”
This upcoming week marks 2 years since Chris and I took a spontaneous trip to Cannon Beach / The Oregon Coast. Before having kids, Chris and I loved to go on random day trips and weekend trips. We always talked about how cool it would be once we could bring our kids on our adventures. The first few months of parenting kicked our ass. I always enjoy reading the Refinery29 Money Diaries to see how people prioritize their spending, save money, and plan for their financial future. I thought it’d be interesting to track our spending in San Diego and see where we could’ve saved money.Continue reading “San Diego Money Diary”
Work and pregnancy got in the way of me working on this re-cap. We took this trip on February 15, 2019. Better late than never!
Whenever it comes to holidays like Valentine’s Day, Chris and I agree that we’d rather gift each other experiences than material items. We decided to book a family getaway to Sedona! I had always wanted to visit as the pictures looked absolutely beautiful! In addition to celebrating Valentine’s Day, we had just found out I was pregnant five days before our trip. The margaritas and wine-tasting would have to wait until next visit.
