Good morning and Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Every day is still continuing the blur together for us but we still make sure to get fresh air, make a special cocktail on the weekends, cook a good recipe, and soak up some quality time as a family. The weather is getting so hot here in Tucson. I’m a little sad we had to miss out on a month of spring and the prime hiking weather but now it’s time to get excited for pool season.
I wanted to share some ideas for Mother’s Day to make the day special. Honestly, even if you’re not celebrating the day, I think these are good suggestions to make any day better. As it’s still a few weeks from Mother’s Day I may update this page with any other ideas or local specials I come across!

Good afternoon! I hope every one is staying healthy and sane during this whole social distancing and quarantine ordeal. Easter is going to be so weird this year. My parents live 5 minutes away from us but we won’t be able to spend the holiday with them. I am extremely grateful for my family and friend’s health but it still can be disappointing to miss out on social activities! I am trying to keep up some normalcy for us and the kids so I wanted to still make them Easter baskets, do an arts & craft, and maybe cook a traditional Easter dinner if my online grocery order goes through! *crosses fingers*

One of our favorite places for breakfast is The Garden Bistro at Tohono Chul. My friend and local blogger, Jane, introduced me to this place when she hosted a lovely brunch. The food is delicious, the ambiance is serene and inviting, and the grounds are beautiful. After our ladies brunch, I knew I had to take Chris!

For Valentine’s Day, Chris and I opted to celebrate a day late with the Off the Vine Arizona Wine Festival. We used to love spending the day wine-tasting pre-kids in Willcox or in Woodinville, Washington. I figured this was the perfect way to celebrate and spend some one-on-one time – the first since celebrating our wedding anniversary at The Parish in November.
